Set the temperature to Lo with Econ 'lit' and engine running. Turn off Econ (led off) Within 10 seconds should hear a click and that's the compressor kicking in. Air at the vents should be around 5 Deg C.

Jul 18, 2010 · Climate Control reset? I've got a 2000 A6 2.7T, and up until recently I thought this was how my climate control was supposed to act. If I have it on auto, I cannot choose which vents blow to, and can also not select to recirculate. If I want some air to blow to my feet I have to go manual and choose the lower vent.
